I guess it's that time of year here in the south. Every bunny is hunkering down for winter and finding comfortable places to live. Apparently, we have a nest of mice that have moved right on in.
Last night we arrived home to a stinky house. What was stinky? The dead mouse, of course. It was young.
Blaze (aka Satan's bride) has been wild lately. Did I mention that she brought a mouse in a few days ago? Yeah, same routine as last time. She brought it in, spit it out, and watched it run for its life.
Anyway, after removing the offending mouse carcass we settled down to watch a little tv.
But the odor persisted and we got to looking around and discovered yet another dead mouse. After removing the really offensive mouse carcass, liberally applying air freshener to the living room area while running the ceiling fan on high we once again settled down to watch tv.
But the odor persisted. It was heavily concentrated in Miss A's room. So one high beam police flashlight later with me on my knees, I discover a pile of cat shit under one of her dressers. Now, this was no ordinary pile of cat shit. It was a multiple day construction. I'd been smelling faint wafts of funkiness for several days, but couldn't find it. And let me tell you, I wasn't happy when I found it nor when I fished the tower out from under her dresser.
I went to bed after that little chore.
Today, I hope that I arrive home to a much fresher smelling house. Miss A is teaching tonight so it's all on me if it doesn't.
:::Sniff, sniff::: I'm having olfactory hallucinations...

Cat shit UNDER a dresser? Weird kitty! I keep smelling cat pee, but can't find it anywhere other than when the older cat missed the box.
At least you found all the hidden "treasures" lol
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
