I think it would just be easier if I died now. In the last 24 hours I've jerked a knot in my back, pulled a hamstring muscle, been deprived of sleep, and had a crying jag. This is in addition to yesterday's headache which is still with me thanks to the crying jag this morning and cramps, cramps, and more cramps.
We managed to make it through the party. She was surprised and for four hours we had a parade of old and new friends through the house. Huge success.
Last night though, another story. All night long the cat scratching. I lobbed two Crocs at her at separate times. Miss A chucked one very heavy house slipper that I was secretly hoping would knock Blaze unconscious for several hours.
Then about 5 am the cats decided to have a fight. They woke up Lacey. She started barking. I put her out, it's raining. So more barking. I put her back to bed. Barking. I gave her food. Barking. I gave her water. Barking. I started crying. Miss A got up and threatened her. Blaze went in the kitchen and puked because I didn't put the cat food down. Dusty came in and opened my very squeaky closet door then paced around and around the bedroom with her clickety, clickety toenails. Lacey? Barking, again.
I gave up and got up. Miss A's sister's family is still here. They will be leaving for church this morning and heading for the airport afterwards. Hopefully, I will be going back to bed after they all leave.
Lying in bed this morning while I was still crying from exhaustion and frustration, we decided that Miss Lacey will be getting reacquainted with her kennel for sleeping purposes. As soon as we get the house back in order I'm cleaning it up and putting it under the stairs. She can bark to her heart's content at 4am and we'll never hear her.

Sounds like you need a warm bath, a good drink, and some sleep. Hope the day gets better.
